Tib throttle body for Accent
Hey, does anybody know which Tib TB will fit an auto 98 Accent? I was wondering if it made a difference if the thing came from a Tib with cruise control or with a manual trnsmission. I have an auto Accent with no cruise control, and just wanted to know what I could make fit. There's a Tib TB up for grabs in the for sale section, and I was gonna pounce on it if it would work. Thanks.

It sure will... I believe the TB from a 97-01 Tibby will fit your Accent. I'm in the process of doing the samething myself or having my TB bored out (still waiting to find out what mm to have it bored out w/out loosing power).

In theory, any Beta1 TB (Tiburon or Elantra) will work. You will have to bore out the bolt holes to allow it to fit. You will also have to bore out the opening in the intake manifold to allow it to see any benefit.
You COULD bore out the Beta1 TB to 58mm (max for stock), and also bore out the IM to match (58/59mm), but I think that would be a tad large/excessive for the 1.5L motor.
