Default Stock beta swap accent versus stock beta tib

In the quarter mile I assume that a stock Beta swapped Accent will beat a stock Beta tib due to the weight difference. Is this true?

granted im gutted and have headers and exhaust.

also raced a sonata v6 last night.. 80-120 i kept it in 5th and had have a car on him ...
i started in 4th the second time and after 2 cars he stoped and gave up

from start to finish i honestly think the sonata would have had you if all you have is a stock beta accent. sonata is heavy but it's got some guts.

have to be 04+ to beat me and even thats pushing it.. you underestimate my 1900lb car .... no way a sock sonata gona beat me unless its brand new and i sill doubt it. if an 06 tibby v6 cant be me why would a sonata...

ive kept up with g8s on the freeway.

this things done 14.8 with 2.3 60' its an easy mid 14 car. and its got headers and 2.5" header back no cat. converted to manual steering, a/c p/s removed, heavily gutted. see my pics in several threads.

i mean i was in 5th and just feathured on it till wot and had him by half a car.. thats sad considering when he punch it he probably went into 3rd gear... when i left in 4th it was instint 2 cars.. im running accent tranny so i have quick gears too so it moves pretty nicely.

edit it was a ef model.. 98-04.. v6 thats what it was.

Wow you must have ripped everything out to get it that light. Mine weighs in at 2350lbs on the scales. I also have manual steering, no ac, and some other minor weight reduction.

With A/C, power steering, power everything, a full gas tank, and full interior my Accent tips the scales at 2400 lbs. +/- 10lbs.

The EF Sonata V6 is not a quick car. It's about as quick as an Automatic Elantra or Beta Tib.

The 249hp NF Sonata 3.3l is pretty damn quick though.
