random alternator question

would it be posible to swap out the accent alternator with the beta or tib alternator what is the amperage diff ect...?

I'll have to compare part numbers and amperage and such.

From looking in the accent engine bay and the tibby engine bay...no. No way will they swap...but with a minor bracket fabriaction, you might get them to BOLT in, but it still looks like the tiburon alt is about 1" to 2" LONGER than the accent Alt...so the belts would not line up.

Let me check the specs and stuff and I'll let you know what I find.

i just need a bigger alternator for my system. thanks random.
got any other ideas about a diff. alternator for me?

There are companies out there that will re-build a stock alt to put out more juice. You can find their ads in the back of autoweek, motortrend, and some of the car audio publications.

The cost is about the same as a new alt...but you have to do without yours while they "modify" it. So having a spare would be a bonus!
