ya i have read through that thread like 5 times. thanks though. so i was going to try and get something done on it today but faild bad. im thinking im going to get an extra set of accent rear spendls so i can build it all up and make my bracket on the bench. its just gong to be to hard to try and do it on the car, when i cant have the car out of service for more than a day. anyway, after i get done with the brakets it will make a rear disk conversion a bolt on job, so when its done ill likely make some extras and offer them up on here, soooo, if that were to happen how many of you would be intrested?

So for the rears you plan on retaining the Accent spindles it sounds like (good). Are you planning on retaining anything besides the rotors and calipers from the Elantra in the rears? Going to re-drill the rotors or convert the Accent to 4x114.3?

I'm planning something sort of similar, but if a bracket was available to mount a common caliper to fit a common rotor I would probably buy a pair.

I have rear disc brakes from a 99 Tiburon, caliper, rotor and e-brake cables. At one time I was running the Tiburon hub with the 4x114 pattern as my previous rims had both 4 lug patters. The hub fit on my Accent perfectly. I have since then gone back to the Accent hub and re drilled the rotor to 4x100 due to my new rims being 4x100. If you read the thread 187 posted then im sure your well aware of my current front brake project. Good luck with yours, looking forward to some pics.

ya i have read everyones brake projects and its helped with a lot of my planing. i am converting to 4x114.3, mostly because im broke and i have a nice set of wheels with brand new tires from my colt befor i blew that thing up. there are less than 100 miles on the tires so i just cant waist them. anyway here is a link to a picture of what we did to the rears in the csm world.

any way ill be doing a lil something like this. not quite as fancy but it will do the trick. hey as long as all of us are still working on it and finding our own way we will come up with something that works. it just takes time. it took me a bit to get something going on this but im here to help in any way i can now.

im getting a lil held up, i need some spacers, didnt take into account the offset of my old wheels. so i shimmed it out to get an idea of how much and it looks like 15mm, problem is i got to choices, should i go with longer studs, or get some bolt on spacers, that are studed. i have never needed them befor so not sure what i should go with.

I would just go with the 15MM plate style spacer, and some nice ARP bolts to hold the extra stress!!!
