Hyundai Accent Forum The Hyundai Accent Forum. Hyundai's little champ. While the Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Excel may be small, they respond very well to aftermarket modifications and is among the favorites for Hyundai tuners.

Default lightweight flywheel

reposting from the wanted section.....

========================================

I hate search engines.

I'm curious to know if there is, or ever was a Lightweight Flywheel made for the X3 platform.
If not, then does anybody know of any noteworthy companies/machine shops that could fabricate/replicate one for me without me breaking the bank.

If you are thinking about giving me the "its not worth it because the power gain to money spent ratio is atrocious" lecture, i am not interested.

I think I've seen one but I can't remember for the life of me where it was.

What motor you building and what other plans do you have for mods?

I'm pretty disappointed with my choice to go N/A on the 1.6l motor.

i have a 1998 accent 2dr hatch... to my understanding its a 1.5L G4EK 12v SOHC
so far i have: 4-1 header, down pipe to a magnaflow high flow cat, custom 2" catback to an aftermarket muffler
with a straight through resonator in between. WAI, aluminum Underdrive pulley, clutch slave cyl mod, aluminum
valve cover, Magnacor plug wires, and shifter hacked in half. Thats pretty much it for the performance
catagory.

where i would like to go next: register my car with WA so i dont have to deal with CA emission standards mad.gif , get a
performance Camshaft, port the header/head matchup, convert a 97 tib BBTB(port the plenum flange to match),
extract my maf and put it in a bigger intake pipe( reduce the bottling effect), get an aluminum flywheel
fabbed, stage 2 clutch steup, possibly upgrade to slightly larger injectors/fuel pump/rail with a fuel
management system of some sort.

going from red to black, not getting a body kit, tail lights are already blacked, getting black rims with a
205/40/16 setup. drop her about 1.6-7 inches and call it a day banana.gif .

i'm sure theres more but this is off the top of my head.
