Default Scoupe fywheel in 1.6 tranny

I know that the scoupe has a slightly larger flywheel than the accent. But if the two 1.5 engine have the same size then why couldnt they swap tranny parts? Im wondering cause I would like to get a lightweight flywheel for my car and the scoupe seams to be the better choice...

Does someone make a lightweight flywheel for the Scoupe even?

Why not get the one for the 1.6l Alpha? Just based on diameter of the flywheel and you want it to be larger?

Yes you can. All the beta guys who have the 1.5 LC used the alpha tranny! The beta flywheel and the scoupe flywheel are the same size.
I know that the beta trannys are a pull type and the alph are a push type.
Hope this helps

187 is also right the 1.6 alpha is also the same size as the beta, scoupe.

Just because Beta hybrids used the alpha tranny does NOT mean the flywheel is the same size and will fit. all it says is that the clutch fits to it...anyway, if your for sure than I'll check it out.

I will know for sure in a week or two. I just bought me a scoupe clutch that im going to put on a beta 2. I can measure my beta flywheel and alpha flywheel if that will help you any!

I only know what other people have told me.

What others have also told me is the the alpha has a 5 bolt pattern and the beta/scoupe have a 6 bolt pattern

You know what. I totaly forgot to measure the flywheels before I installed my beta. But I did put a scoupe clutch on it and it fit perfect. I still have my alpha clutch I can measre, Im sure someone on here has a flywheel just laying around they can measure.

I just moved and I had to get the motor installed before I moved, I was crunched for time and forgot to measure.
