Hyundai Accent Forum The Hyundai Accent Forum. Hyundai's little champ. While the Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Excel may be small, they respond very well to aftermarket modifications and is among the favorites for Hyundai tuners.

Wow, looks amazing! Any rubbing?

I can't help it, I'm reposting your pics here.

I had to do a little trimming of the front fenders to get some clearance in the back. It turned out better than I thought since my dad helped me(he can be a little anal). The only place I ended up getting some rubbing was the back left. I must be a little lower on that side so I am going to raise the rear about a half inch and it should fix the problem.

Other than that no significant problems. It definately feels wierd driving around grid because of the retarded offset of the wheels. Any time you turn the wheel at slow speeds it feels like the car wants to skip. At speed it feels perfectly fine.

I finally realize what new r-comps can do for a car, not to mention going with 255s in the front. I really need to be careful with lifting abruptly or going in too deep on the brakes because the tire offset f/r makes the car very very tail happy. I spun 3 out of 4 runs on sunday. I have to be much smoother on the throttle than last year. I will get the hang of it as the season wears on. My times should also drop quite a bit and my pax will definately be better since I dropped to fsp. I can't wait to race again.

I will try to do a proper photo shoot that way you can see more angles because the car looks freakin awesome on 13x9s.

I was thinking it might be a bit tail happy, even as low and stiff as yours is. There is a Rabbit with a similar setup that races out here sometimes and watching his runs honestly he would be better off with the wider r-comps in the back. He spins almost every time, and slides all over on the runs he doesn't spin. I'm sure a lot of that is driver issues though for him. I will say he gets good times when things go right, it's just that he's lucky to have that happen once an event.
