Hey, I was wondering how big of a difference larger fuel injectors would do me if all I'm running right now is an intake and exhaust. I want to get a BTB and possibly a ZEX kit soon, so it sounds like a good investment. How much bigger should I go for a '98 Accent GS, and where can I find them? They don't look that difficult to install, but any advice or information would be beneficial.

 

I don't think they would make any difference for you now except for wasteing more full, but with the zex kit and other mods I think it would be a good thing to upgrade the injectors.

 

I have Sonata Injectors in my Accent. I have not gained much at all. I'm going up to mitsu gsx injectors w/new fuel rail and bbtb. If I get better results i'll post.

I can feel the performance!! Putting over sized injectors in a near stock engine gives you as much power as putting a Vtec sticker on your car.

larger injectors will not gain any power unless you got the air to add to it.

And that is, Large shot of NOS over 75 shot, or forced inductions, or headwork for n/a and race cams.

stock tiburon injectors are good for 180hp
you are just wasting fuel
and now you have a crappy gass mileage and you idle is probably worse

also guess what, if they are to big, you are squirter to much gas, yep! you lost power !, to much gas not enough fuel, your timing just got reatrded like a *****, also you are destorying your CAT smile.gif

replace them now unless ya got a good reason to have them in.

Oh and by the way there was a proven difference. My mileage changed from tank to tank. Not taking more fuel, but taking less. It was an expiriment.... Not Rocket science. Ok, so people can be a little harsh... But you are just reading text on the internet from somone in a another state. As long as they get the point across who cares.

Anyway, about the original question. I'd start out by upgrading the fuel pump (Walbro or ZEX) and then maybe using an s-afc.

I would have thought that Sonata injectors wouldn't fit in the accent, but aparently they do! Please provide some details here, I'm intrigued.
