Does anybody know where I can get one.
I was looking on the hmaservice, I notice that the Cam on the 1.5L Scoupe motor has a higher exhaust than the 98 model 1.5L.
How well does the GT cam work for the 2.0L? If it shows enough than I will have to scour the Junk Yards to get me this Cam. Just incase you are wondering I will list the mesurements below.
98 Accent 1.5L
Intake is 42.8575
Exhaust is 42.7353
95 Scoupe 1.5L n/a
Intake is 42.8575
Exhaust is 42.7624
95 Scoupe 1.5L t/c
Intake is 42.7914
Exhaust is 42.7624

Before you do this mod, let me check something first.
We need to know opening and closing for Intake and exhaust on both the standard 1.5L Alpha, and the Scoupe motor. If they are significanly differnt, bad things could happen.

According to HMAService both the SCoupe and Accent 95-99 have the N1.5L Alpha motor.
Ok, I got the information for you.
ACCENT
Intake opens(BTDC) 12 Degrees
Intake closes(ABDC) 52 Degrees
Exhaust opens(BBDC) 52 Degrees
Exhaust closes(ATDC) 12 Degrees
SCOUPE
N/A
Intake opens(BTDC) 14 Degrees
Intake closes(ABDC) 42 Degrees
Exhaust opens(BBDC) 52 Degrees
Exhaust closes(ATDC) 8 Degrees
T/C
Intake opens(BTDC) 8 Degrees
Intake closes(ABDC) 52 Degrees
Exhaust opens(BBDC) 52 Degrees
Exhaust closes(ATDC) 8 Degrees
The N/A SCoupe seems weird to me, but that is the way HMAService says. Hopefully this helps.

Stick with the stock CAM. The Scoupe motors loose too much duration, and have too little overlap. They may open a tad bit more, but I doubt if it would give you any more power because you are loosing valve open duration.
You loose 8 degrees of duration on the NA intake and loose 4 degrees of duration on the Turbo intake.
you loose 4 degrees of exhaust duration on the N/A or turbo cam exhaust.
All in all you are looking at loosing 8 degrees intake, and loosing 4 degrees of exhaust if you go with the N/A Cam. That shorter duration will more than make up for the increase in lift and you will loose power.
Stick with what you have.
