oh man, i remember when i'd just got the zorst done on my LC. so much delicious pop-pop burble action during engine braking. later on, i had an X3 with open headers. the crank angle sensor started to play up, occasionally causing massive backfires. the underside of the car ended up being coated with black. good times.

Sorry maybe I'm just missing something here, but those videos all sound like a car with an aftermarket exhaust to me. There is some farting/raspberry/burbling noise when you close the throttle but I wouldn't be worried about that personally unless there was also a drivability or fuel economy problem.

If my car sounded like that I'd say

LOL yeah, it's not too bad, I was just concerned. Yeah it does sound pretty sick, thanks for the info and compliment.

I wanna get a carbon fiber hood and eye lids next, but the one source I found for eye lids is expensive...Maybe i should just get some custom stickers made, would be cheaper.

Also, I'm looking into performance chips. There's one AIT chip I found that claims "no damage will be done" and a +30 hp is garanteed. Another chip I found is a volo VP12 soft flash chip. I'm just looking to get the most out of the exhaust, and KFX performance headers/downpipe is coming next.

So what do you guys think?

You will

NEVER

get +30HP from a single modification to an accent that does not involve forced induction or nitrous oxide.

oh man, i laughed so hard watching this !! not that it sounds bad, but i said just hit the redline.... dont bounce off of it like 6 times !! LOL, oh man.... lmfao ! but its cool, no harm done. the phone on the other hand... idk.

sounds ok to me though. nothing out of the ordinary for a cat back setup. headers will change the sound and also a resonator will take away alot of that fart can sound too ! my suggestion, buy the glasspack (resonator) have it put in for 30-40 bucks, and then later on when you find the right header, throw that on too.

oh and dont buy that stupid chip or resistor wire thing that your told can get you 30 hp. its a scam. its makes your car run pig rich and simply wastes fuel.

there is nothing else you can do to your ECU to make it give more power... maybe a complete stand alone system but that would be several hundreds of dollars, plus tuning costs, plus peripheral sensors. and it might only give you 5-10 ponies.

you want power, study up on turbo charging.

I read Loneshark's post before watching the vid. I wasn't expecting that to happen! Lmfao!! It reminds me when I blew my silencer 20 feet out in the form of a projectile. It would have killed a cat!

It doesn't sound like there's any backfire at all.
