Yeah I think it might work. I think it's about a worst case scenario for JB Weld so there is a large chance that it won't work, but it might. The JB Weld company recommends against it.

[EDIT] Looks like 500 degrees is the max sustained temp, so it's pretty much guaranteed to fail.
