Default Chop chop chop. O crap.. (hyundai loom help)

Hey guys, Well as some of you may know. I removed my engine and fitted in a beta engine. I couldnt use the beta loom so im going for stand alone ECM.

I cut most of the engine loom out. (Left The fusebox Loom/ Oil Level /window wiper loom)

i traced back all the engine loom back to the ECM and unpinned/removed the unused wiring.

i have a few wires left over that use to go to the engine loom connectors.

To the scrapyard. That's a lot of work you made for yourself there. Next time, label which wire goes to what before cutting anything, eh.

im confused with your post.

you only label somthing if u plan to need or reuse it.

I'm removing all Engine Loom, Engine Relays, Fuel Relays ect.

Because with my Standalone System. It all comes complete with the loom, its stupid to run 2 ECM and jam any unused loom behide the dash.

Only reason i asked if anyone knows the wires colours/size so i know where to trace it too without messing with the cab loom that i need.

Simple

goal here is to remove. Everything engine related without messing with the normal car loom.

atm everything still works fine but them spare wires must run somwhere that origonal went to sensor on the engine.

The wires used to be attached to something at both ends.

If those ends were labeled when you removed the stuff you don't need from the ends of the wires

You would know where the ends go.

How is this complicated? IF you had labeled them, THEN you would know where they went!

OTOH if these wires are not wires you just cut off something you don't need anymore, then you are also in for a fun time. The wiring diagrams are available at hyundaitechinfo for most models, but for some reason some accent years are just missing. And sometimes they re-used the diagrams (with the color labeling) and just change the colors during production . . . wire color information is possibly untrustworthy, even from Hyundai! There is a kind of test equipment that injects signals you can read with a sensor from a distance, to trace wires in looms, but I couldn't tell you what it is called and they are not going to be giving them away. Best be to be SURE you don't need something is to open up the looms.

If you didnt mark the wires, then i have no way to identity them. You say all your loose wires came from the ECM plug correct? I thought you were going to label them. They could be important, or they might not be. Your gunna have to track them im sorry to say.

well it would take a while but the schematics on www.hmaservice.com DO denote wire colour...but that changes by year so if you go that route be careful. not sure if thats a viable option or not but hey its something at least.
