Anyone feel like washing and waxing and all that is a chore that isnt very fun? I dont understand how some people love to spend hours cleaning their cars. It annoys me and I prefer to just run it through a car wash that does all the washing and waxing. Who else feels the same way?

 

Maybe you don't love your car all that much?



I haven't washed any of my cars much lately. Why? Because I don't love them as much as I've loved my previous cars. I used to wash my truck all the time until it was stolen. I used to wash the red Tib all the time until it was garaged. Now I just wash the Avalon when it gets unbearably dirty.

 

I've never loved a car enough to actually enjoy washing/waxing it or maintenance.

 

I actually enjoy cleaning my car. I'll get up at the break of dawn and spend 4 or 5 hours cleaning the car in multiple stages, inside and out. It's peaceful to me.

 

 

I relate to both sides on this but if I had to choose I would go with a car wash. It's a lot of work spending an entire day polishing and cleaning a car. Then after you're done, it will rain and make everything dirty again. lol

 

I like cleaning my car so it looks really good. I have found that those who dont have a lot done to their cars tend to be more like the OP. Those who have nice wheels, clean body with no rust or dents are the ones who really like to keep their cars looking good.

 

I wash my car at home just about every weekend. I like doing it but I wont go all crazy with waxing every time. I feel like if you do a couple of good coats of wax and polish every 5-6 months, then it'll last all year. Plus I use the car soap that has wax in it and does it at the same time.

I enjoy cleaning my car. there's nothing like get up early and spend 2 or 3 hours cleaning the car, inside and out, put on some good background music & you can make it fun

 

Cleaning my car is one of my favorite things to do and then drive it right after showing off how good it looks.
