Hyundai Accent Forum The Hyundai Accent Forum. Hyundai's little champ. While the Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Excel may be small, they respond very well to aftermarket modifications and is among the favorites for Hyundai tuners.

Default Beta swapped Accent by Epic Tuning (pics)

We swapped a Beta motor into a '99 Accent over the weekend. Customer decided to get a lightweight pulley, lightweight flywheel, timing service, a header and Spec Clutch. We kept the Tiburon mounts and used the Accent transmission and axles. Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

That engine was sourced from a local junk yard for $140. Came with everything except the transmission.

that is so badass!! i love seeing this swap. the power to weight ratio has got to be so much fun!

personally, i think that accent is beautiful. cheap, but beautiful. people who think it's not, well then we wouldn't still have accents 15 years later.

It looks stock. That is the greatest accomplishment. That means you did fine engineering. Great work!
