So it's time to relocate my battery into the rear of my accent. Now always in the past I've seen people run 4gauge wiring to the stock hot location in the engine bay. Someone said alot of people are using 8 gauge to the starter. So does this mean I can run 8 gauge in place of my old standby process of doing a 4 gauge run from back of the car to engine bay? Or should I just stick with thicker cabling?

4AWG is for amplifiers, and low power ones at that. For a battery relocation I would really think hard and look at current/length wire charts before going as small as 4AWG. 8AWG might work for the starter, but I'd want to break it off a distribution block from the bigger feed somewhere in the engine bay.
