Hyundai Accent Forum The Hyundai Accent Forum. Hyundai's little champ. While the Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Excel may be small, they respond very well to aftermarket modifications and is among the favorites for Hyundai tuners.

Left with No ecu... Cut up engine loom.

Can anyone tell if the 1.3 Engine loom can be completely removed and a replacement one fitted ? Or is it all spliced.

Wish I could help, but I don't have a harness. I think the US market harnesses are different than most of the world anyways.

Some cars have big connectors and the loom is split inside/outside. The other cars will have a huge firewall grommet. Either way, look for a long removal session at the breakers, or look at eBay. I give even odds you might be able to special order it through your dealership.

If you can possibly table the project for a while, do that instead of giving up hope. If you can't get it, you are missing something simple because the car is a simple machine. You have money trouble and stress, but that may not be a good enough reason by itself to ditch the project.

You still have the old parts around? Putting it back stock and working on the wiring OUT of the car might be a really good idea if you've almost come to the point of giving up.
