Default Attempting my first coolant flush ever

Im doing my first coolant flush tomorrow and was wondering if any Accent owners had any good tips for me before I start. Kind of like some do's and donts to remember when doing it. Also should I stick with a certain type of coolant or will any work as long as its a 50/50 mix of coolant and water?

dont have a accent but ill help anyways

1. use distilled water

2. i assume in texas it doesnt get below -30 so 50/50 should be fine

3. use a QUALITY name brand coolant, the cheap sh*t ive noticed doesnt last very long

4. replace the thermostat and gasket while your at it, and the radiator cap also its cheap and your draining the coolant anyways

5. fill the radiator up, then turn the car on and wait for it to open the thermostat, then fill it up again. i usually wait for it to "burp", fill it up, drive a few miles, then let it sit and cool down and check it once its cool again.

6. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE DRAIN PLUG i sware ive known more people strip that damn thing out than i care to mention. try not to tug on the radiator either, ive seen plastic endcaps crack before.

7. WATCH YOUR GAUGES, while hyundais arent that hard to "burp" you never know, and as mad_machine put it best once, the hyundai temp guage has 3 settings, cold, normal, buy new engine
