Default Accent Side Exhaust

After reading a few posts on dual exhausts and generally people coming up with crazy ideas, I came up with one of my own!

What would be the advantages/disadvantages of having an exhaust setup like the first Vipers(only one side), or the Corvettes or whatnot?

Would this adversely affect the exhaust pulse? If anything, it would take a few pounds off the car.

Any thoughts?

The only side effect i can think of is burning your leg when you arent careful getting out.

The side-exit exhaust is intended for VERY high-RPM applications, think of how often you spend in the upper range man, it's not really worth it to have a side-exit exhaust and keep getting fines is it?

Well, the law says that the exhaust cannot outlet underneath the passenger cabin. That is why you see so many trucks with side exhaust...
