I know ryan is running an alpha alternator on his beta accent. I think he had to shim it a little, but it works fine.

I am also running a alpha alt on my beta motor. My alt is going out and I believe that the beta runs more amps. I was just wondering if it was a 1 for 1 swap?

So it sounds like the beta and alpha share the same connections.
When I installed my alpha alt on my beta motor, is was pnp. No special anything, it installed like it was made for it.
Anyone know if the beta alt has more amp than the alpha?
