Weird Oil Capacity Issue
For the past year, I've been having the dealerships do my oil changes because of how busy I am (and the fact that I need to have a Hyundai OEM filter on the damn thing).
This past Thursday, I needed to change the oil in the driveway at 9pm. Bought the 4 quarts like I used to (last time I changed the oil on my own was early 2008). Drained it, put the 4qts in and ran the engine for awhile.
I poured the used oil into the empty oil bottles and found that I only had 2.5 qts of oil in the engine (this was after checking the dipstick the day before and it was on the full mark). Checked the dipstick after the oil change and found that I was about a quart over.
Anyone ever ran into a situation wheren teh cars oil reserve has reduced?
