This has been going on for probably 5000 miles now ( few weeks). Driving down the interstate, or where ever. Driving along, no vibration, everything's smooth, then.... vibration..... no vibration....vibration. It's not just in the steering wheel. You can feel it in your butt too.
It's a constant cycle.
Since it started I have gotten it aligned, and 4 new tires, all balanced, and all still have their weights on.
You think it's the drive shaft??
I have done quite a bit of drag racing w/ the car (stock), and *clears throat* a couple of 'accidental' neutral drops.
There doesn't seem to be any noise associated w/ it.
Thanks Ahead!!!

Any wheel mounting issue should have been resolved with the various alighments and wheel balance's done.
Drive shaft is possible, but not likely.
I'd look at
Tranny/motor mounts
With a bad/broken/crapped out tranny mount, it could "occilate" like the vibration you describe.
the brake rotors
have your brake rotors checked for true, and turned if they are warped. Since you feel it through the steering wheel AND seat, it must be one of the front rotors.
Wheel bearng
If a wheel bearing is just STARTING to go, that is how it would behave. Look at the fronts, since you can feel it through the steering wheel. Can you hear any "noise" assocated with the vibration?
It could be the tranny itself, something internally...but that's not going to be CHEAP or easy to diagnose. Try the cheaper/easier solutions above first.

Would WISH it was just the road, but I drive ALOT of roads in a day. It's a constant thing.
What about u-joints??
Thanks Random! wink Will check. I know the front rotors need turned. That could be it you think?? Why vibration from them when driving?? Will have someone look @ tranny/motor mounts too.
Again, I don't notice any noise.
