Default URGENT AS ALL HELL

My car died on me in the parking lot of work [left lights on... DOH!] but thats not the thing... got it jumped, got it going... but it clunks when it starts and had lots of tinging going around... Josh stated it might of been my alternator... well, it has a loss of power, and is leaking a greenish/brown fluid, I believe its trans fluid.... but, when I got my clutch installed, they said they put new seals on my car and filled it with trans fluid.. what is going on with my car?!!?

As Drew stated...when we spoke, I thought the ticking might of been the fact that his car was just fully dead. Sometimes the alternator on cars will tick like crazy, for a short period of time, when the battery was fully dead and then was jumped. But as far as him having fluid leaking...no clue what that could be from...if it's even related to the dead battery issue at all.

If its greenish fluid, I would say your radiator might have a leak. Your car is a stick, so you don't have transmission fluid! Clutch could be leaking hydrolic fluid though (Hydrolic clutch). However, leaving the lights on would not cause this. It may have been leaking for awhile. Go look for stains in your driveway or wherever you have parked the car to see. Then get it fixed! Ticking could be the alternator, as 2klosho said. My old car's alternator ticked.

EDIT: It's transmission fluid of some sort.... not antifreeze.... plus, I've noticed that when my car is in 5th, sometimes it slips into neutral... so I'm pretty sure its the transmission

Well, if it's the head gasket you would know you would have a constant white smoke coming out of your tail pipe and when you turn the heat on you would have a strong sweet smell coming out of your vent if you don't have these things it's not your head gasket even though I beleive from reading the above posts it is clutch fluid I just thought I would add this info just incase. Check you clutch fluid level container it is on the driver side bolted to the fire wall it looks blue threw the container or check on the bottom of the tranny just slide underneath your car and you will be able to see any leaks if their are any. Hope that helps.

there is fluid behind the tranny... it goes all the way up to my firewall [cracked?] I'm guessing it sprayed on the firewall, but yeah.... its right there.... behind the tranny... but it has to do something with the transmission
