Default Throttle adjustment screw

Hey, anyone know what the thread pitch and screw diameter is for the throttle adjustment screw? Mine worked itself loose and is nowhere to be found (probably somewhere on I-66 or 495). My idle is fine, but every once in a while I try to tweak it for better response.

I'm pretty sure I'm getting a tap/die set for my birthday this weekend, so I figure I'll just make another one, but without the original, it's going to be difficult to guess the proper thread.

Thanks in advance,
ac

I would just gather your collection of old machine screws and keep trying different sizes/pitch thread till you get the right fit.

BTW...what happend to the cap that goes on the end of that screw so you don't lose the spring or the screw?

It must have fallen off too, I guess. It was never on their that tight. I thought that end-cap would have kept the screw from coming loose, but I guess it came loose as well.

Yeah, I'll probably just try a bunch of different extra's till somethin' fits. One thing I do know, the pitch will be metric. smile.gif
