Running lights and alarm lights won't work.
I recently installed a new car stereo but I accidentaly crossed the dimmer wire and the illumination wire. since then I have removed the aftermarket unit and put the factory back in. Now when I set my alarm my left side running lights blink but not my right. When I turn on my headlights my running lights on the right side work but not the left. Plus none of my gauges are illuminated. My turn signals and brake lights all work fine on both sides just not my running lights and my alarm lights. HELP! I don't want to get a ticket for this. I have checked most of the fuses and circuit breakers in the car but it was dark outside and I'm not positive that they are all ok. Could I have burnt out the dimmer switch for the gauges or the relay for the blinkers?
i hate to tell you this but bolth dimmer and illumination will read 12volt when lights on so crossing those two shouldnt have an issue on the car,,what yuo may have done is grounded one out when the lights were on if thats the case you would blow a fuse..i suggest you check your fuses again and if there all good, pull your alarm brain and recheck see if the output on the brain is good being you say only one side works sounds more like a short elsewere in the electrical system then behind the radio
