Radiator Overflow Tank Overflow
I keep having fluid from the overflow tank spit out onto the outside of the Overflow tank.. I can smell it when I pop the hood, and I can see it on the tank itself.. I inspected the cap of that tank, and I found nothing out of "ordinary".. It does not seep out too badly, but enough for me to wanna know what the hell is wrong.. (IF anything) Thanks in advance..

Nope.. She is not running hot..it MAY be I have too much in there, but it seems to be a new problem as of the last few weeks.. I don't go a day without popping the hood to take a look.. I check my oil EVERY day before I start her up.. And EVERY night before I put her to bed.. wink.gif Who knows.. Seems like it is nothing bad, I just wanna know why my baby is bleeding.. smile.gif
Thanks for the prompt reponse.. smile.gif

The Temperature is ok, and it rasies up alright.. Does a lower Temo Thermostat help these cars like it does American ones? If so, I will get a new one.. OH!! and my AC smells like S H I T... Flat out..

Try a new rad cap... or here is simple test. start your and let it run for ten to fifteen minutes / open your hood and sqeaze the upper rad hose : there should be some tension. if not check your reservoir / see if the level changes when you squeaze the hose : if so then the rad cap is not sealing and you need a new one. rolleyes.gif

I have the same problem and hyundai refuses to fix it.
The cap on the overflow tank leaks the excess coolant rather than it coming out the drain tube built into the cap.
I've tried sealing the cap with teflon tape...no luck. The only thing I found that ever worked was putting a bead of clear silocone around the hole cap while it's on the overflow tank. Only problem is you have to re-do it every time you remove that cap, and it makes removing the cap a PITA.

With the turbo charger my engine can get hotter than normal. The fluid level when cold is just a tad above "min"
The drain hose is NOT plugged, but it still comes out the cap rather than down the drain tube...unless I do the silocone trick.
