Default KORE CAI install help

i got the basic gist of it, but not to sure where the filter is supposed to end up. do i need to cut the fender well??? i have a 2k 5spd VII. if any one can prvide me with some good picture or instructions asap, that would be sweet. thanks crew.

If you ask Tunez nicely he might post a pic of the inside of his fender well he took during his intake install and that might clear up your inquiry. But yes you do have to cut the plastic to get to the cold air.

You need to cut a hole in the piece of plastic inbetween the Engine and the Fenderwell. I have photos at home that show you where to cut, but I do not have access to them at the moment.

If you can wait 5 hours, I will post them. Otherwise, try BatLord.

Notice how the hole is right up against the curve of the plastic. Leave the plastic lip there as it will cushion the CAI from banging against the metal of the frame.


I also cut a section of rubber hose, and siloconed it to the curve of the frame. The also prevents anything from Knocking or banging.
