The install is fairly simple. But you have to cut the three wires going to the shifter to get it off, then just splice on the two knew wires and slide the new shifter on, screw it in and your done. As you can see in the third picture, the only way to get the overdrive to work and the light(all be it backwards now) is to connect the black and the yellow wire to one, and the red to another. If you really want it sharp and you dont plan on ever going back to stock, take out the shift rod and cut off about an inch so the bottom of the new shifter is flush with the console. As you can see in the last picture its rubber casing at the bottom protrudes a tad.
