Hit the button on the shift console that allows you to take the shifter out of park without your foot on the brake. That will allow you to take the key out.

The question is...why does a new shift knob cause this? Is it hitting something that prevents it from going all the way into park?

Figured it out. I had screwed the new shifter down too far, so i pulled it up a notch and everything is fine, cept now my OD on/off light is backwards. Any clue what to do about that? Sorry for the repost in mods, I hit the back button and clicked refresh, it resubmitted my issue. my bad

DUDE!!!!

Those are some damn big pics!!!!

Next time could you make them a little smaller? I had to wait forever to see them all!

What were you wiring there? Is there lights in the knob?

That thing looks right out of Star Trek!

dude nice install pics, so there was 3 wires right? did you check to make sure you had all the wires hooked up right, i mean if you took the old one off and the new one doesnt work right, there is something wrong. dunno im a perfectionist i wouldnt have let that slide...anyway good job on the installation and the install pics....can you give the installation a rating of 1-5, 1 being easiest and 5 being the hardest......

Well now I could reproduce the install in probably 15 mins. So probably a 1.5 if you know that area, otherwise a 3. I have it all working now, the problem is that the O/D light is backwards.

Thank God for T1 lines. Dude that looks absolutly bad-ass. Could you rate how hard that is to install? How much was that shifter and where did you get it?
