Headlights
Whats with these POS tiburon headlights? I'm starting to get upset!! , in the last year i've put in 6 sets of bulbs. I've tried eurolite, lumicko(sp?) and APC they all seem to last the same amount of time. I'm assuming that the retaining clip seems to be the problem here. Is there anything else I can use to keep the bulb secure?

What wattage bulbs are you running? Try lowering the wattage to stock or closer to stock. Have you ever touched the bulb with your bare hands? Wash the bulb with rubbing alcochol before installing to be safe.
I had problems with 130 Watt fog lights, then I switched to 100 Watt, and I have yet to replace them.
Lastly...I've noticed more gen2 owners having problems with headlight bulbs than gen 1 owners.

The first couple of sets were the exact same wattage as stock, but the the last three sets of APC's have been 100W.
No, I have never touched the bulb with my bare hands.
Each pair of APC's cost almost $80.00 Cdn, it's starting to get expensive.
Do you think it could be the retaining pin that is causing the problem? I thought maybe the pin might be bent, so I tried to order just the pin. The problem is that they don't sell the pin seperately, they want me to buy the whole headlight assembly.
By the Way Random, What kind of bulbs do you have in your foglights? and What holds them in place?
Thanks
Shawn

The foglights are Hella H3's. But I am first gen, not second gen.
The Headlights I use are JCWhitney "Plazma White" at $9.99 a bulb (US funds).
I've yet to dig into a Y2k headlight, so I have no idea about the retaining clip you are refering to.
