Great...now only 4-5 more tankfulls to go. How many miles did you have at this fillup?
Low air pressure in your tires can cause a slight decrease in gas mileage, but the only thing I can think of is that you are just one heck of a lead foot/ always driving in the lowest gear possible....

Never had this problem...I was in the band all four years, and during the spring terms, I was taking English zero-hour, so I was always trekking in around 7:15 or so...never had to wait in line to get in!
Stop and go driving like that can really eat up your tank of gas...specially if it's an every-day thing. sad.gif

I'm not too lead footed, hells bells, my friends tell me I'm too careful. Any octane better than others? I have oil with 1000 miles on it right now. And used fuel injector cleaner when I got new oil. I'll get back to you on tank 2...

Big Lancer-
300 miles is 21 MPG (assuming you put in 14 gallons...most people don't run it that dry and only run it down to 12 or 13 gallons).
The tiburon is rated at 21/28 MPG. So you are right in the target range.
Clean/new spark plugs help, Yank them at every oil change and clean them with a wire brush, then blow them off to get all the grit out. Make sure your spark plug wires are in top shape, ditto for the coil pack.
If you do not have one, installing a CAI/free flowing intake/air filter helps. With the MHP CAI, my city mileage jumped to almost 24 MPG. On the freeway/long trips, you should be able to get 28 MPG, so almost 400 miles to 14 gallons.
With the turbo install I have, tuned as poorly as it is. only get 17 MPG city, and 22 Long Distance Freeway.

If we run the car until the fuel light comes on, roughly how many more miles we got until we're out? My guage needle is usually at the bottom of the fuel line around 210-220 miles... so I think I'm gettin crap too..
