I cant figure out why but when I connect the plugs from the harness up nothing happens. But when I run a wire from the battery the pumps works great. I need to figure this out so I can drive the car. If not it's goin to a mechanic.

 

Did you ever check your Girlfriends car? Does her fuel pump get 6.5V at startup or 12V?

If she's getting 12V, it's got to be the fuel pump relay circuit.

I emailed you the plug connectors and the wiring diagrams.

 

After spending a nite working on wiring. It now runs. We took it for a short test drive, but there is still lots to be done before it's "streetable"

 

It took me like 30 minutes to fix the intake manifold problem. Now it's perfect and I installed the AEM intake ("you cant use that intake, you have a REV A") It sounds soooooooooo BAD, not bad but fvcking AWESOME!!!
And she purrs like a kitten at idle now. Only thing I notice is a high pitched noise. Maybe even a hiss??? I think its the exhaust manifold, but fvck that thing, I'll have headers on my doorstep soon if this CNK GB gets goin.

 

Yesterday I was at a friends house, and when I went to leave I put the car in reverse started to move and then it stalled. My buddy laughed at me. Then I did the same thing again... and it stalled again. Then it wouldnt start after that. I checked the "back door" to the fuel pump and it works when given power. I know all the connections are still good. Why would the fuel pump just decide not to turn on after I had been driving around for 2 days after we fixed the problem. Luckily this time I have it in the shop so I don't have to figure it out but still WTF is goin on with that pump????????????

 

how about your "wiring" job to the pump?

 

Fuel pump will shut off. If it is unable to keep pressure in the lines. now. trying to use it 3 times. should cause enough loss to be an obvious spill of gas.

 

I wonder what happened to piss off the fuel pump like that though. Everything was fine. I took the car around the block, parked came back in 10 minutes and... nothing?

 

The shop it's at said that it must have "found a ground, then it overloaded and lost that ground" I think me and Random switched the order of wires to be different than both the 1st and 2nd gen tibbies. I stopped by westways yesterday and looked at the fuel pump and it was a lil diff. It had the connector in a diff position and therefore is not "identical" with the first gens. What do you think.

 

The wiring diagram's were different between the 2, but the connectors were the same. I think they just switched 2 ground.

However the ground we had was working....I've never heard of "burning out a ground"....
