That's most likely brand-centric (alarm brand, that is).
Some kits come with a relay that you wire into the factory harness. Others will require splicing (either in the driver door or where the wires come through to the body of the car.
In my case, I didn't have power locks and installed the actuators myself. They came from the same company that made my alarm, so the wiring was a breeze. I got my stuff at www.crutchfield.com
Post which brand and model you have and somebody here may have some more specific wiring advice.
