Default check engine light from headers?

Hey guys,

I just got the SR 4-1 headers on my 2001 tibby and I drilled another hole with a welded bung for the O2 sensor. I made sure this hole was south of the collector because I noticed the old manifold had the sensor in a spot where all 4 pipes came together. So with that said and done, a few days after I have the headers, the "check engine" light comes on...Are my sensors confused due to one less cat/more exhaust flow/same exhaust temp readings, etc?

Thanks

u should have one on the header where the 4 come 2gether and one after the cat...

make sure u didnt break ur o2 sensor, did u drop it or knock it against anything

No, i didnt hit it on anything, but there is no cat between the 2 sensors, because one is on the headers, where you said, and one is on the downpipe...

without a cat between the 2 o2 sensors, you get a CEL light.

You need to extend the wiring on the second o2 sensor and put it BEHIND/AFTER your cat.
