I changed the radiator top hose today, and of course loads of coolant came pissing out.
So what happens to all the air thats now in the cooling system? What do I top up with? Just water?
I know there was some kind of additive in the coolant and it stinks - can't get the smell off my hands!!
Please help a silly old trout like me smile.gif

You should add in a mixture of Anti-Freeze coolant and water. You base the mixture percentage off the weather in your area. A good rule of thumb is always at least 30% coolant. Anti-Freeze/Coolant also prevents the water from coroding your radiator and other metal parts. Most people go with a 50/50 mixture of coolant/water.
