Acceleration problem!
I was drivin around a few days ago and this guy in a Accord wants to race me. We pull up to a light and when it turns green I punch it and my car starts off super slow and rises to about 4000 rpm and then it takes off. When I did it, there was this deep induction sound, but my car didnt do anything. What could be the problem? I dont have a WAI or a CAI per say. I have a metal intake box, with a pipe that goes out of the side wall. This just started happening recently. dunno

Sounds like the car bogged/drowned in fuel. Could be a lot of things that cause that.
Is this the first time it happened? I wouldn't worry about it untill you can reproduce it at will.
I would also reccomend you ditch the "hot air box" and make your own CAI.
