since I last smoked. I've been a smoker for almost 6 years and I decided enough was enough. I stopped cold turkey 4 weeks ago and it feels great. My body is still going through withdrawl some but its gotten much easier to deal with each day. I've been staying strong. Im not coughing as much, I dont smell like an ashtray everywhere I go, and Im saving alot of money by not buying them.

The bad thing is that I find my appetite going through the roof. Ive been able to keep it at bay by chewing gum and eating fruits and veggies but good lord...all I want to do is eat now. I think its a force of habit from having cigarettes in my mouth all the time. Hope it soons gets under wraps and I dont feel like I need to eat all the time.

Anyone here quit smoking cold turkey after many years?

Start going to the gym, if you don't already. Working out is a natural appetite suppressant.
