My seat heaters arrived today so yo guys will probably be gettin them soon too. They look nice and you definately wont be able to feel them under the seats.

Unfortunately we just got a bunch of snow dumped on us here so im not going to be putting them in for awhile. I will be waitin for the oem switches too. After that I will make a DIY and post it up.

 

I just got mine. They look much nicer than I thought, I'm pretty excited. Yeah, over seat heaters, I know. :

There's no way you will be able to feel these under the seats. The wiring harness is very nicely done too; much better than I was expecting. Quick disconnect below the switch, and molex connectors will make it easy to remove the seat. Also, from looking at the wiring, it looks like the "up" on position will cut on just one element, and the "down" on will cut both on. But I could be wrong. If it's just a low/high heat setting, I'm going to modify the harness a bit to get the aformentioned setup. I'd like to have the option of back heat only.

Thanks so much for setting this GB up. I wish I had bought a set for our other car now.

Edit: I think it's just a high/low setup. I'm going to tap into a wire I recently ran for my trunk solenoid, except that that wire has a 20 amp fuse at the battery. Not sure if I'll blow that fuse if I pop the trunk when both heaters are on. . .each pad has a 10 amp fuse. But if I go up to 40 amps on the main fuse, the solenoid might not be protected. Hmm. I guess I should up it to 40 and add another 20 closer to the solenoid.

You wouldn't believe the heat elements that a friend bought not too long ago. I told him about this GB, but he wanted "factory quality". They are a POS, big 16 gauge wires snaking back and forth in a thick, very stiff pad. And he paid almost $300. tongue.gif:

 

Mine arrived today in the mail.. very nice looking. Shame winter is almost over now.

Also, if the instructions arent enough and you dont want to wait around for a DIY, you can call their "Factory Trained Technicians" at 1-800-646-0874 and ask them how to install them. They work for hyundai dealers, and although I havent personally talked to them, the guy I have been in contact with says they should be able to walk you through install on a tib.

That's exactly why I want to be able to run just the pad for the back. I can use it year round to soothe me aches n' pains. smile.gif

But I'm tired of messing with the harness, so I've decided to just take the lazy way out and unplug the lower pad for Summer use. wink1.gif

Let's see. There was no deposit, no disclaimer about Negative Feedback, and as of the quotes above, I told him I'd get mine elsewhere since this was over and refunded my payment.

If you guys go look, I had to remind REDZ to pay a few times even before he claimed he sent it to the wrong place. Those reminders were just the ones in this thread! That claim was even 2 weeks after the money was due. I left him messages, IM's, PM's, I even had java tell him to post in here, I posted in here for him and know what? nothing. And thats not even about the money, the guy is fricken impossible to get ahold of and therefore do business with. It is for that fact AND the fact that he told me in this thread 3 times that he WOULD pay me and then AFTER that said that he would not, that I left him negative feedback.

Yes, I admit he said "I guess Ill have to get mine somewhere else" but look at any of REDZ posts after he missed something. They are all very sarcastic. I thought he was giving me a hard time and still asking if he could be included all in the same sarcastic statement. Nevertheless, my dealings with him were negative BEFORE that point.

Oh and sorry REDZ, I wasnt aware you had to "warn" someone with a disclaimer that if they did crappy business you would let other people know. Im pretty sure that if anyone on this site (especially you...) got a product that was a piece of crap or <u>completely opposite of what that person had said</u> they would<u>nt</u> have <u>not</u> left negative feedback JUST becuase they didnt give the guy a warning before hand that if his stuff was crappy they would tell people. And who cares if there was a deposit?

Also, I tried to keep this out of the threads so no one esle would have to deal with it. I simply left him the feedback and described what happened that I was not happy with by using the few letters it would let me. NO WHERE did I attack him. Yet REDZ, in his very "professional" manner responded with this:

publically calling me a moron. hmm very professional of him. and for why? because I didnt have a good expirience with his business!!! thats the whole freakin point to that rating system!! why was his there? well apparently he uses feedback to give people feedback about giving feedback! what was his complaint about my doing business with him? I'M the one that tried to contact him.

Also has anyone ever thought that the title "admin" might imply that someone is a leader and therefore model? cuz I know java does a damn good job and sticks to the rules, but I see REDZ way too often break the sites own rules. HMMM now EVERYONE in the trader ratings sees that Im a "MORON". and now everyone in this thread saw him call me retarded. Are those not personal attacks? would he not spaz if I had left him a feedback calling him a moron? weird.

And finally, does anyone wonder why REDZ closed this? did it have ANYTHING to do with this GB?? no. He got pissed and decided to lock it because he was mad at me. He doesnt think about anyone else. About the couple people that are still inquiring about more seat heaters. About the fact that I told people to post their questions/concerns in here. Maybe someones hasnt shown up yet and they are getting concerned!

Guys Im sorry I had to fill this thread with this BS but I couldnt sit around and have Redz try and make me look like a fool. I personally think I did the right thing.
