personally i dont think having oil pressure or temp is over kill...first if you see a drop in oil psi first thing tells you that the oil pump might be gone...

to me all gauges are warning light (somewhat)

I second that, you cant have to many gauges. If your oil temp spike or pressure drops better then waiting for it to spray all over or to die.
