Did you hit apply where you put in the code? May want to email him cuz I saw that when going through that if you didnt hit apply it wasnt there. I went back and hit apply and the final page showed it.

Ive never seen/heard a bad thing about them. Why the bad rep?

Hive, did you want me to get a quote for you or were you contacting him?

I have sent my order through. Will update when received. Also, did some searching around and found a lot of good things about the gauges. Even people that had labs and tested them for accuracy. There was a short time when they had sending unit issues it seems but they have been long worked out. A lot of the parts used are the same as Defi uses. Have seen this many places as well as confirmed by the company. Like I found, prosport doesnt really advertise. I saw a small booth at nopi that really caught my eye and got me set on these. But no models or huge sponsor cars or anything like that. Awesome prices for what seems to be a great gauge. Will update when I get them in my hand.

the issues seem to be with the electric ones mainly. the mechanical guages seem to work pretty good from my understanding.

i have two friends with prosport guages, the one has mechanical guages, both of his work fine, and has had no problems. the other guy has sent his boost guage in twice, and his oil pressure in once. it was working fine last fall, but we'll see how it is once once he gets it fixed. It was accurate, but slow to respond. ie, he'd start it up and let it reach full vacuum, blip the throttle and it'd take about 2 seconds to reach 0. it was fine when he installed it both times, but after about a month it started slowing and finally gave up.

in general, they seem to have a high failure rate for the electric ones. also, people have reported high current draw for the memory wire on the peak warn guages. about 40 mA for 1 guage, for reference a cd player draws about 3 mA. Add a few guages, and if you don't drive your car everyday, you could have a dead battery

they have been very good about getting replacements though.

just stating what I've seen & read about, maybe they do have them figured out, in for results b/c I've been wanting to replace my autometer mechanical guages with some electric peak/hold/warn ones that won't kill my wallet.

Thats the main thing here is price. And it seems to me issues have been worked out.

I sent my order in last night guys and it was shipped today. Id like to see more people sending in some payments to reach the 5 that we should have hit.

I am pretty sure I'll take my share of four gauges by the end of the month. I can't do it at the moment (waiting for some financial input) but should be settled by the end of the month

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Chad @ Mar 12 2008, 07:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>in general, they seem to have a high failure rate for the electric ones. also, people have reported high current draw for the memory wire on the peak warn guages. about 40 mA for 1 guage, for reference a cd player draws about 3 mA.</div>
40mA is really small, it's probably less than what a light-bulb on your dash uses - it means a 0.5W power draw.
3mA is even smaller, it means a 0.036W power draw. I highly doubt a CD player uses only 0.036W!! My pioneer has a 10A fuse.

Edit: oh, perhaps you are talking about what a cd player draws from the constant +12V line (to keep its memory). Even if that is only 3mA, I don't think that 40mA is anything to worry about..
