hey thanks for the photos! Did you have to polish it or did you just go the extra step? I think i will go the extra step as well i just dont know the right way to do it, but this helps.
Itll look badass, especially in your car. Are you putting in LED's?

I got mine it too, still can't install it yet, but he knows why.
LOL
I'm going to personally polish mine, as I wanted to take some heat off of Lee's back and do it myself.
Only complaints are...
1. Mine had several small dings around the top edges, nothing that can't be worked out, but they are there.
2. The bottom edges and CORNERS are VERY sharp. I'd recommend anyone that gets these SAND or file these edges dull before you install your boots, as they could tear on these corners!!!
Other than that, this is an example of how things SHOULD be done on this site. Jon tried his best, Lee got us a better deal, and the parts are arriving in hand.
Hats off to Lee, and I will for SURE be getting the next project he works on too.

mad_machine will be next in terms of the orders that have paid and need to be sent, should get more rings on tuesday/wednesday.
I just looked at the other rings and the do need as bit of touchup in terms of filing sharp edges but not as bad as the one i sent REDZ, his was unpolished and came straight off the machines.

I tried to polish mine for an hour or 2 today, but the milling marks and the little lines he used to mark where the holes went are still visible. What should I sand it with? I got the burrs and sharp edges with some fine files I have, but what about the stuff on the flat top surface? 2000 grit then polish?

If you sand, use a wetsanding technique. I don't know how deep your scratches are but the polishing wheel got most of mine out with the dremmel. You could try 2000 grit, but you may have more luck with 1000,1500,2000 grit, then the surface should be ready for a bit of polishing and then a metal polish finish.
