Would there be a significantly higher shipping cost to Canada? I'm in as long as is isn't a huge difference. Dealership put the smallest muffler he could find on my RD2, so I may as well replace the whole thing while I'm at it.

^^ it might be a better idea for you to go to pick it up in US yourself (buffalo or something). I've had exhaust shipped to Canada, and it wasn't shipping but it was customs/duties that raped me. not to mention that they lost half of my stuff on the way too.

Come on guys, help me out here...i already ordered a similar exhaust to the Apexi exhaust that has that angle there, that i planned to chop up on our test car, but is it true the angle isn't necessary?

I thought the angle exit was necessary to cut down on the bends?

Its true that it limits the mufflers you can put (by the way, yes this exhaust system comes with a muffler), but i think people are more interested in the performance, right?

i would think more people would be interested in performance, hence less bends and under axle.. so i duno why anyone wouldnt want the angle.. if its done right, u can have the muffler put with in the stock cutout of the rd2, just angled. id offer sending my exhaust to ya, to mock up, but its a turbo exhaust and no cats, no resonators, and it wouldnt line up swith stock cat.

yeah the server was down at a bad time... yamaneko must be so confused at this point. yamaneko did you already order the apex'i setup? if so we do not have a controversy anymore.

my final say: if you choose the apexi angled exhaust or the straight replica then it's your decision. only support and sales will prove how many people really want it. if you choose angled exhaust, you're losing a lot of straight through exhaust buyers.

i personally appreciate that you let everyone have a testimony at dreaming up the perfect exhaust. apparently it's like buying gifts for your girlfriend. she might not like the color.

I just thought it would be more appealing to EVERYONE if there was no angle, I mean the bend is soooo slight that there would honestly be no performance difference, and if there was no angle then you can put any muffler on it, it appeals to everyone..

I mean, 01import, did you notice a difference in performance?

Or HKC?

^^Look at HKC's last pic, you really think that would make you lose any performance? lol..

It would save people (including myself) the hassle of having to do what members like 01import and HKC have done.

Reason I'm doing it? First of all because of cops. Around here, I have been hassled for my exhaust many many times, even though it's legal (has a cat), I get pulled over because it's loud. Hell, just the other day I saw an Integra in a McDonald's parking lot pulled over and a cop was on the ground looking at the exhaust under the car..Having the ability to put on a different, quieter, muffler saves you from getting pulled over. Second of all, I do a lot of highway driving, I like it to be semi-quiet. Anyone knows that a full exhaust at 70mph for 2+ hours can get sort of deafening..lol.

Anyway, I just thought it made SENSE. I don't think anyone would NOT buy it because it WASNT angled, but there probably are people who would NOT buy it because it WAS angled..anyway, if everyone else LIKES the angle and the loud (rice)Cannon muffler..then I guess do it that way, I'll just have to customize it..

...

This topic is for a group buy, not wether to go custom or aftermarket.

Besides, your argument isn't valid, the Apexi goes a different route than OEM, has better gains than the OEM Aftermarket Copies, and fits like a glove.

I'm serious. No more off topic posting.

Was it only down for one day? Because this is the first i have been able to get on since last week (granted, i didnt try the last 3 days...) Well I did order that apex-similar design, but now people seem to be changing their mind about it. I dont understand.

By the way, the ONLY prebuy person we had i am told requested a refund last week, so were back down to zero again. This is pretty depressing, i had people emailing me and calling me daily almost asking for this exhaust, but now no one is jumping on it.

Can someone perhaps start a new thread with a poll (im not good at it), polling ONLY THOSE REALLY INTERESTED in getting the exhaust, if they want the angle exit for greater performance, or just the traditional one, so that we can use the oval exhaust...

topseedfx, i get like 20 emails a day no problem to my email address, bradley@evofusionusa.com. I dont know your name, but if youre asking about the exhaust, i didnt get the email because i havent gotten any emails about the exhaust in my account for a week or two.
