Understanding the CryO2 System Part 1
Well, the first thing you need to realize is that the entire system is obviously a self contained unit which unlike nitrous is never released into the motor (as CO2 would extinguish combustion).

You also only buy what you need or deem fit for your intended use as there isn't a kit per say.

The bulk of the system is the 5 or 10 lb tank and installation kit (includes all necessary fittings, lines, brackets, solenoid, one push button switch and one WOT switch and a tank). Each kit comes with everything you need to hook up any CryO2 System Component.


Understanding the CryO2 System Part 2

CryO2 Air Intake - A polished tube (4" long) that is available in a 2.5" or 3" OD which we DEI recommends you use with an aftermarket intake system. Inside the segment is a tear drop shaped bulb (hollow) that is centered inside the segment and designed to directly affect 50% of the air intake charge. As air passes through the segment, it hits the fat side of the bulb, which wraps the air around it and then riffles it back into the motor. The result is condensed air charge which forces the O2 molecules to get packed in together (which results in increased combustion). Since the bulb actually freezes to -80F it can lower the intake temp up to 50F.


Understanding the CryO2 System Part 3

CryO2 Fuel Bar - The fuel bar should only be used with an aftermarket fuel rail(it can be used without, but requires fittings and mods that are vehicle specific so use at own risk).

The CryO2 Fuel Bar freezes just like the bulb to -80F which obviously cools the liquid, but not as drastically because the fuel passes through the bar relatively quickly. The end result is increased fuel volume that curbs any detonation problems (known or unknown) which can be caused by increased engine bay temps due to high compression motors, increased outdoor temp or prolonged driving/hard driving at the track.


Understanding the CryO2 System Part 4

CryO2 IC Water Sprayer - Now this system doesn't use CO2 but water which is housed in a plastic resevoir. When activated a motor pumps the water through rubber hoses and sprays it directly onto the intercooler(can also be used on radiator core) which increases cooling, but gains vary depending on several heat related variables. I've noticed recently that the Subaru WRX uses a similar system which is stock on their 06 STi.

CryO2 Intercooler Spray Bar - This is the ring-like halo mounted directly onto the face of a front or top mount intercooler. It does use the liquid CO2 and vents it directly onto the intercooler fins which freezes the core and also lowers intake temps by condensing the air charge as the air flows through the IC. It won't work on your cars, but I mention it because it can be used on the radiator and actually does an excellent job of keeping the coolant efficient. But there is a real important note - Radiator fins are extremley sensitive to drastic temp changes and could crack. The holes that are on the inside perimeter of the spray bar a drilled in at an angle so that the liquid CO2 directly makes contact with the core. So if you want to use on the radiator just flip the spray bar around, so that it vents the liquid just out in front of the fins (this will give the liquid time to turn into a cold gas) which passes through the fins without damaging them.

Is there a time limit to this? I'll be going turbo soon, and would like some of the IC products, as well as non-turbo products.

So, if I say, ordered header wrap, and thermal insulation, would I be able to later order the IC with the discount? As long as its over $100? Just making sure, per your quote:

no time limit. it just depends on how many orders we generate. if there seems to be no interest, DEI will probably pull out. As long as your initial order is over $100, you will be able to get the 30% discount w/o any price limits.

I am tryin man. Maybe tomorrow night. I went last weekend w/ DEI and it was a total mess. I was running 11.2:1 b/c of the mods I have. It is killing my power. Then, I found out there are two types of CO2. The kind you equalize pressure between two bottles like for beer kegs, and the kind that is pumped into your bottle in liquid form. I got the equilized kind so basically we were blowing nothing but air through the system and obviously saw no gains. I was so disappointed in myself. I thought CO2 was CO2. Rest assured, I will have a dyno soon. S3 is this weekend so if I don't get there Wednesday, then July 1st I will be at the dyno.

You will not be disappointed. The fuel bar helps prevent detonation which is a major plus when your in WOT. I can't wait to see this on some f/i tibs as well.

anyone have any opinons on how good that "boom mat" stuff is? if its better or worse then dynomat, cause with that discount you can get nearly 20' x 47' for like 230 bucks

hey vlad. i personally have never used the stuff so i can not help you out with my opinion. i am so far from an audio type person it is not even funny. all i can say is that the stuff has been around for a long long time. if it was that bad, they would discontinue it. from being at their warehouse and seeing how much work they put into designing new products, i have all the faith in the world that it is of the utmost quality. you should email them to see if you can obtain a free sample square.
