This will be the 2nd time i think i have tried to get a A-pillar pod made for our cars and each time everyone backs out. Anyway the guys at www.roadracemotorsports.com that make some things for the 3rd gen tibby sent me a reply saying this in regards to making a double pod made of carbon fiber.
"We could do it but not interested in selling them ourselves so you would
have to pay for the mold too. Sorry. Figure mold+ one part = $280. ROAD/RACE"
I offered to donate an extra A-pillar i bought for a previous group buy that everyone backed out of. I thought that the price wasn't too bad for just me and I was hopeing that if i convinced others to get in on it we may get the price down.
This is all preliminary polling to catch interest since i don't want to get screwed like i did the last time and i'm not quite ready to buy.
You can see a picture of the cf on a 3rd gen on their website above
Any info would be great
Thanks
JD

So they are saying they will not sell it? Do they sell one for the 3rd gen? I would be interested in a CF one, but if a company doesn't think too much of our cars I would rather go with someone like KSpec or HP and see if they could get them made.

Well, I don't think Kspec could get them made, but I DO think there may be a 2 or 3 pod here that just isn't imported yet. I can ask David if ya'll want.
On another note, there is a fellow posting on HA.com and a few other places that is getting 3 Pod replacements done for us.
You may want to look into it.
