The Group Buy goes through the end of January. It may be extended if needed to account for tax returns. The kit is programmed for use with 91 Octane fuel.

I recommend people wait until alpine gets a test dummy...

They couldint tune with a car ACTUALLY there,... i cant even imagine the results WITHOUT the car there and them "guessing" the settings.

The problem they had was not the 5th injector... it was the unichip itself. Do a search for past threads. I wonder how they got the ignition side working without a test dummy...

I dont mean to be a party pooper.. but ive just been around 3 unhappy R&D alpine cars.

The 150 estimate i gave was with the supercharger..
This was after months of trying..
The owner was still unhappy at the end...

Alpine did manage to get 190 with the turbo. The car did have pinging issues.
Stock injectors were maxed out and the car actually ran rich... PIG rich..

Any details on the type of turbo, blow off vavle and wastegate that will be included with the kit? I will assume the same old alpine log style maniflold will be used as well. I am not too interested in purchasing this kit, I would just like to know, I'm sure others would too. Thanks.

Anyone know what size the inlet is where the throttle body hooks up to the super charger? Can it/should it be bored to match the throttle body? And, I think this was covered before, will the phenolic spacer work with the sc manifold?

No, don't know the size there, but this Group Guy isn't for Superchargers.

Yeah, you should be able to bore it, and yes, spacers would still work, your ports will still be the same.

Redz, doesn't look like this group by is for anything. Judging by the "interested" replies. I was just completing my highjack of this post wink1.gif

I do have to admit.. I would like to see proof.

Ill ginie pig it if you want to come to texas and tune the thing and prove it will work with out any problems....lol fing02.gif

But if it doesnt you take it back. Im not going to fight with it for ever got other things to be working on.

Ive got access to lifts dyno's whatever you need. Unfortanitly thats the only way your going to get anyone to buy the kit is prove it works first

P.S. theres no blow off valve in the kit????

The Alpine Supercharger bore size is matched to stock. it's pretty small. but this is a turbocharger kit though, it should have nothing to do with bore size.

unfortunately, I don't think any of these turbos will be sold without a trial, proof, directions, and results. so if Alpine sold a kit to one of our reps and tested it then we could get something official going here. hyper since you have access to dynos you could be a rep and the price for the turbo for him could be cut in half or some deal like that.
