Why do different countries get different options?
Something I have always wondered about. I know some countries get different options when it comes to emissions because certain countries may be more strict or lenient than others. But when it comes to appearance stuff like wheels, spoilers, interior, and so on...how come its not the same everywhere?

Good question. Some of it is due to what the market expects/has room for.
For example, X3s were sold as 'price leaders' in Australia, so basically came stripped out with no airbags, vinyl door trim, sliding a/c controls etc. In the US that need wasn't as great, so they were sold as a pricier car but with more standard equipment.
