Is it Safe to Run a Oil Lubed Electric Air Compressor in Winter Conditions?

Default Is it Safe to Run a Oil Lubed Electric Air Compressor in Winter Conditions?

Just wondering if this will rust the internals - sucking in cold air from outside into the machine. Or should I situate the unit inside and run mega length hoses?

Worry more about draining the tank than rusting the compressor under normal operating conditions.

check the manual for the compressor (if available). in extreme cold i'd be concerned about the oil viscosity.
