Default ?'s on Cleaning Car...

I was wondering how others who store their car clean it??? I mean while it is in storage.

I just want to keep the exterior perfectly clean from dust and everything. And all of the car washes around here close during the winter!!!

I was thinking about taking a spray bottle and towels and cleaning the outside, but first wanted to see how others clean theirs first.

You might want to try on of those car dusters I hear they work well but I have never personally used one. Just my .02.

Or could try cleaning it before putting it in storage and putting a car cover on it.

A very thourogh wax job before storage I would think be best. For good tips on how to maintain a car while it's in storage I would look at some sites for classic cars. Those guys have years of practice and ideas. Once you have waxed it a simple dust job should keep it clean.

A dust proof car cover would do the trick. Or just attack it with a Car dust mop every so often

A good coat of wax is a given be-4 you store it anyway.

I gave it a good cleaning before I took it to the storage area. But the storage place is about half an hour away from my house and on the way there it got a little dirty with a little mud on the sides.

Couldnt help it because it had snowed two days before. The snow wasnt on the roads in the city, but cant say the same for the country roads. I just want to get that dirt off!!!

I had talked to another guy who stores his older car and he said he uses a spray bottle once in a while to keep it clean??? Probably will do the same...
