Default Lucky to be alive, will i be ok ?

i was welding my exhuast up for my hyundai accent beta turbo and i tripped over..

I went the case in on my welder and the case touched the coil inside. THe welder shocked me and burned my side 0.5-1 sec passed and it stoped...

The welder is wired into a uk coooker mains (240V @ 45 Amps) i blowed the 45amp.

Iv been dizzy and sick since its happened and im really tired.

Should o be ok to sleep it off?

If your heart didn't stop permanently and you don't have grievous burns you'll most likely be okay.

Getting electrocuted sucks, but it happens to people pretty regularly. I know people that like zapping their buddies with a welder for entertainment.

Welders are usually lower voltage. Burn the skin maybe, but not AS likely to jump across 2 meters of flesh as 240v. You COULD have done minor damage to your heart and a scan at hospital would probably show it up. If you're like most of us, you probably won't go even if you should, seeing you're still alive for now.

Dont wnt to be a dick, but its not the voltage that kills you its amperage. I am an Avionics Technichan and took a few good qualitu shocks, one gave me an irreglar heart beat and I felt alot like you described. That was my worst at 1250 vdc and popped the 15amp fuse and I was holding the component in both ands so it went right through my chest.... But im hete and fine now, you should be okay, but get and Ekg! Irregular heart beat can kill you in your sleep!
