Its an older garage where the wood planks/walls and beams are showing. I want to get drywall to cover it all up, and maybe even insulate it some. I've never hung or cut drywall, so does anyone have tips? Do you just buy giant square pieces of it at a home store and then cut it to fit with a saw or is there more to it?

I am a verrrr big fan of drywalled garages, especially insulated. Do it. If you don't think you can, and you have the cash, hire it out.

 

Around here garages are required to have drywall. But you don't need to mud and tape it if you don't want to.
