Hyundai Of USA Sets New December Sales Record

Hyundai Motor America has just released their sales figures for the month of December 2013!
An exceptionally strong post-Christmas sales blitz has helped Hyundai Motor America to post record sales in December.
Hyundai’s sales last month were up 6 percent, compared to the same month a year ago, for a total of 63,005 units.
In terms of sales, this was the best December in company history and the first December to break the 60,000 sales mark.
Hyundai’s Best-Sellers
Hyundai Santa Fe SUV and Elantra compact car have posted the highest gains in sales last month, but it was the Elantra that topped the carmaker’s U.S. sales chart.
Hyundai dealers sold more than 21,500 units of the hot-selling compact car last month, while the model’s year-to-date sales hit an all-time high 247,912 units.
Another Hyundai model that surpassed the 200,000 units mark in 2013 was the Sonata mid-size sedan which recorded the sales of 203,648 units.
Another vehicle that performed well last month was the Accent which more than doubled its sales from a year ago. Hyundai dealers moved 7,100 units of the Accent sub-compact car.
The soon-to-be replaced Genesis luxury sedan has improved the figures from a year ago, while Veloster coupe also posted a significant sales gain.
Hyundai’s annual sales were 720,783 units, up 2.5 percent over a record setting 2012!
